Additional comments: The objective of this pilot research award is to provide funds for early career investigators or established investigators pursuing new research directions. Projects must focus on medical technologies relevant to the diagnosis or treatment of digestive or liver diseases, including but not limited to using an existing technology for a new application; evaluating clinical and/or patient-reported outcomes associated with a technology; assessing the health economics of a medical technology; studying the impact of appropriate use of technology in clinical practice; or creating and testing a new device.
